EVERY TIME YOU SHOW UP AND SIGN IN TO AN EVENT FOR INTERNATIONAL BABYWEARING WEEK YOU WILL BE ENTERED IN A DRAWING TO WIN AN EARTHY RAINBOW GIRASOL RINGSLING BY SLEEPING BABY PRODUCTIONS WITH A POCKET, AND A CATBIRD BABY MEI TAI CARRIER!

Monday October 10th - Ann Arbor Mall Walk

Help make babywearing more visible by joining us for a mall walk! Or just bring your baby, toddler, or preschooler (plus any older kids, of course) and your favorite babywearing paraphernalia and socialize with the other parents and kids who will be there.
We'll meet at 10 in the play area in front of JC Penney. We can wear our kids around the mall and let them have fun playing as well. If anyone is interested in lunch, we can have fun at a restaurant or picnic in front of Sears.
After lunch I'll gladly stick around for a second mall walk, so if anyone wants to come and can't make it in the morning, feel free to join in. Send me a message if you need my cell phone number to contact me the day of the event.

Tuesday October 11th! For Sale or Trade (FSOT) Day at AABW - To Celebrate International Babywearing Week
Have babycarriers you're not using? Need a carrier at a GREAT price? Want to try babywearing but dont know where to start? Want to sell or trade carriers with other babywearers? We've decided to have our regular Tuesday meeting this week be devoted to a little friendly selling and trading within the group. :) Bring anything you'd like to sell or trade (or just come to shop!) and join in the fun!

Following the Tuesday Meeting there will be a group outing to Jo-Ann's Fabrics to prepare for DIY DAY (Do It Yourself) day on Thursday.
Wednesday October 12th - Farmers Market Booth!
We will be set up at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market with a booth from 8am to 3pm promoting Ann Arbor Babywearers and safe babywearing for all! Check in at Elephant Ears Baby Boutique in Kerrytown in case of bad weather, we will be set up inside.
Thursday October 13th - Do It Yourself Day at Lindsay's House!!
Tuesday after the bwing group ends at noon Lindsay will lead a trip to Joann's to discuss fabric. Then the real diy day will be on Thursday!
This will be a playdate for moms, kids and sewing machines. We can talk about different diy aspects of carriers and safe carrier construction. Below is a map to Lindsay's house in Saline.
Friday October 14th, Becca's Big Carrier Stash and Snack Event for IBW!!
Please bring any carriers that you want to share with others in our community! Becca will be serving fruit and veggies and gluten free snack foods galore! We will be taking pictures of babies in all different kinds of carriers of all different ages and in all different positions for educational purposes. Our goal is to make a photo book/ebook of our carrier library complete with action shots!
As a side note, Becca's stash has well over 100 carriers in it of all different kinds, including One of a Kind Didymos wraps and other rare gems such as infant adjustable kinderpacks, Vintage wraps from the 1970's, Traditional African Kangas, Antique Chinese Mei tai Panels, as well as some beautiful Babywearing Books, and Babywearing Art. Come on over and Oogle, touch, drool, and even try them on!
